Message: Just to give my deepest condolences to Richards family and friend. We saw him bump starting the bike in the pits, just before the races began, and overheard him commenting on the rattle from the engine, as to weather it was a Piston problem or not. It was a complete shock when we heard the news just before the race was cancelled. He and his family will be in our prayers. |

Message: Richard, you were a true gent, and one of the soundest lads I ever had the pleasure to meet. We joked years back, about crashes and injuries, and how we must have screws loose to make us jump back on two wheels again. But as every biker will agree, we just have to get back on again. Next time for you though will be on the race track in the sky with Joey. We'll be downing a few pints in Skintown for ya Richard, and our hearts and thoughts are with your wife and son down here. Cheers Mate, you will not be forgotten. |

Message: I met Richard a few weeks ago at St Angelos (having watched him in manys a road down the years)..I was racing a mini moto and went over with some of the small kids as they wanted to get his autograph..I found him to be a really nice guy and ended up having a laugh with him saying that I knew I was a bit big to be racing these tiny bikes...'there's alot bigger and uglier than you racin them...'he replied. Very very sad to hear the tragic news of his death. My prayers are with his family. He will be truly missed. |
