"Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints of snow
I am the sunlight on ripened grain
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken
in the morning’s hush,
I am the swift uplifting rush
of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there; I did not die"

Date: 22/09/2005
Name: Ricky Farr
Location: Lisburn, N.Ireland
Message: My deepest sympathies to his family and close friends. I can't begin to imagine the sense of loss they must be feeling at this time-I myself feel a terrible loss and I never really knew him personally. I only knew him from the racing and the odd word in the paddock - but then I suppose that is what made the man so great.
I hope his nearest and dearest can take a little bit of comfort in the knowledge of how highly thought of Richard was and when times are hard, as they will be, I hope the good memories can dull the pain of his passing.
May you rest in peace Richard, safe in the knowledge that you touched the hearts of so many during your too short a time spent with us.
Words are difficult to find.....
