Message: What a wonderfully, beautiful send-off for Richard yesterday. Maria, Loris, Margaret and Willie and all his family must be so proud of the legacy Richard has left, we're so glad to have had the privilege to have been a little part of that. Richard made great memories, and no-one can ever take away our memories. God Bless all his family. RICHARD - RIDE ON! |

Name: Phil Wain |
Location: London |
Message: When motorcycle racing is good it's the best sport in the world but at times it can also be the cruellest and they don't come much crueller than this. Without doubt, Richard was one of the finest road racers the world has ever since not only for what he achieved on the track but also for how he conducted himself off it. The perfect sportsman, he was never without a grin on his face and his passing has left a huge gap. No-one gave more to the sport than Richard and he will be missed everywhere, words can't do him justice and, like everyone else, my family and I are gutted. My heart goes out to all of his family and friends at this deeply sad time and my thoughts are with them. God bless, big man Phil |

Message: My deepest sympathy goes to the Britton family at this sad time. I have been a fan of Richard’s for ten years. I first met him when I was eight years old and from then on I have been a devoted fan. I really didn’t think that this sad day would ever come. Every time I went into the paddock I either got to sit on his bike or got pictures with him. He never hesitated even if he had no time he still stood for the picture. I have always been very proud of the framed picture that he gave me of him when I made him a get-well soon card when he got injured from a crash, and it just shown me how much of a kind hearted generous person he was. You were a true gentle man and my hero You will always be my number one and no one will ever come close. Thank-you for all the brilliant memories You will live forever in my heart, Rest in Peace #8 XO XO |
